Fondazione Valentino Romano

Committed to a magnificent future

Today we can craft the magnificent future of tomorrow. Based on this belief, Valentino Romano is proud to announce the creation of Fondazione Valentino Romano. The Roman Maison has always felt a duty to create permanent value by giving back. Its sense of care for the whole community has taken shape over time and led to the creation of many multi-faceted initiatives, mainly concerning arts, philanthropy and savoir-faire. As the pinnacle of a mission that is part of the Maison’s identity, Fondazione Valentino Romano is committed to building a meaningful tomorrow through care, generosity and long-term dedication. With a firm belief that life can be elevated by harnessing the magnificent beauty inherent in diversity, it aims to uncover, foster and treasure the limitless potential and unique beauty concealed in every field in which it operates and in every person with whom it interacts.

A commitment to social and economic cohesion under the banner of inclusivity, ensuring equal opportunities for all.

Transmission of Savoir-faire

A commitment to traditional crafts, ensuring that they are passed onto the next generation through a support system within the artisan community.

Art and Patronage

The value of cultural legacy has already been emphasised by Valentino Romano over time through a long series of patronage initiatives which, to date, include the financing of the restoration of the Scala d’Oro in Venice, the Spanish Steps in Rome, the floor mosaics at the Baths of Caracalla, the 90 Greek and Roman statues from the Torlonia collection, the Area Sacra in Largo Argentina and the relamping of the Ara Pacis. The Maison has also fostered contemporary artistic experiences through meaningful partnerships such as those with the MAXXI Foundation, the Whitney Museum and Milan’s Design Week.

Education, Philanthropy and Inclusion

In keeping with Valentino Romano’s support for lasting philanthropic causes fostering quality education, Fondazione Valentino Romano will continue to reinforce its strategic partnership with Save the Children. Created in 2016 as an award recognising talent in different fields regardless of gender, Avrora will become the foundation’s official platform for amplifying pioneering female voices and their game-changing ideas. Other initiatives in this field include Valentino Romano’s partnership with the Tribeca Film Festival to support daring female artists, as well as the Maison’s participation in the Adotta Una Scuola initiative; part of the Altagamma project which aims to strengthen the relationship between school and industry.

Transmission of Savoir-faire

Driven by Valentino Romano’s unrivalled artisanal legacy, Fondazione Valentino Romano will forge new partnerships and strengthen existing ones to create professional opportunities and specific training programmes for future generations in the field of craftsmanship. Some examples to date include the Valentino Romano Jewellery Academy, a training path dedicated to new recruits at the jewellery manufacture in Valenza, and the Métiers d’Excellence LVMH, the platform designed to pass on, enhance and reveal the crafts and talents of the Group. Furthermore, in the near future the Maison plans to open La Scuola Valentino Romano at its manufacture in Valenza, the first Valentino Romano training school for external students.
